How it works
Here's the whole loop, before you sign up.
Five minutes in the morning. Ten at night. Then Design Your Day™ reads your own life back to you.

How Design Your Day Works
How to use designyourday.app to identify your patterns, give yourself honest feedback, and close the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
Why this works
This isn't another planner.
Most coaching says: set goals. Most habit apps say: build streaks. Most journals say: write your thoughts.
Design Your Day does something different. It holds up a mirror. It asks you to get out of denial, face who you actually are today, and start making choices that close the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
Awareness is where lasting change begins.
Every day the loop repeats.
Every week you begin to see patterns.
Every month the patterns become your story.
The Daily Feedback Loop
Four steps. In this order. Every day.
You don't need to fill in every field. Do what you're ready to do. The order matters more than the amount — this is how the day gets designed instead of drifted through.
- Step 1First thing in the morning
Morning Check-In
Most people wake up and immediately begin reacting to the day.
The Morning Check-In helps you do something different.
Before emails, meetings, notifications, and other people's priorities begin pulling at your attention, take a few moments to decide who you want to be today and how you want to show up.
Choose your mindset, declare your identity ("I am someone who…"), anticipate what could pull you off track, and commit to your morning routine.
The goal isn't to predict the perfect day.
The goal is to begin the day with intention instead of reaction.
The decisions you make before your day begins often shape the decisions you make throughout it.
Start where you are. Even one thoughtful answer moves you forward.
- Step 2Right after check-in
Today's 3 Musts
Most people start the day with a long to-do list. A designed day starts with a decision.
Your 3 Musts are the three commitments you make to yourself before the day begins. They aren't everything you'd like to accomplish — they're the three things you're unwilling to leave undone.
Enter your 3 Musts into the app, then choose exactly when you'll do each one. The app will prompt you to schedule a time because intentions are much more likely to become actions when you've already decided when they'll happen.
For example:
- If working out is one of your Musts, what time will you exercise?
- If you're in sales, what time will you block for outbound prospecting or client outreach?
- If you're a business owner, what revenue-producing task needs to happen before the pull of email, meetings, and your to-do list pulls you away from what matters most?
When you decide in advance, you're far less likely to let your priorities be replaced by someone else's.
The promises you keep to yourself shape the person you become.
That's how you build your confidence, your sense of self, and the standards you live by — one kept promise at a time.
- Step 3Anytime during the day
3 Things I'm Grateful For
Name three, big or small. Gratitude shifts the story from "life happens to me" to "life happens for me" — and it's harder to make excuses, play the victim, or drift into blame when you can see what you already have. It's a small step that keeps the bigger work honest. Do it anytime today.
A grateful mind sees possibilities where an ungrateful mind sees only problems.
- Step 4Before you close the day
Evening Reflection
This is where today's experiences become tomorrow's wisdom.
Before you close the day, pause and take an honest look in the mirror.
Celebrate your wins.
Learn from what didn't go as planned.
Look for the patterns behind your decisions — not to judge yourself, but to understand yourself.
Your daily score isn't a grade.
It's feedback.
The goal isn't a perfect 10.
The goal is to become more aware of the choices that created today's results so you can make better decisions tomorrow.
You can't change what you can't see.
Every day leaves clues.
The Evening Reflection helps you see them.
Tomorrow, you'll use what you learned to design another intentional day.
That's how lasting change happens — one day, one decision, and one reflection at a time.
Every honest reflection gives you the opportunity to make a better decision tomorrow.
Then tomorrow, run the loop again. That's the whole system.
The whole loop takes about 15 minutes a day — five in the morning, ten at night.
The daily practice creates the mirror.
Your morning check-in helps you notice what matters before the day gets busy. Your evening reflection helps you see what actually happened. When you keep showing up, Design Your Day turns those entries into a Weekly Mirror — your patterns, progress, wins, and places to grow.
Over time, the Monthly Mirror helps you see the bigger picture: how you're changing, what keeps repeating, and what deserves your attention next. The check-ins are only a few minutes; the insight they create becomes more valuable the longer you use the app.
- Daily Check-Ins: build awareness.
- Weekly Mirror: see the patterns from the week.
- Monthly Mirror: understand the larger arc of your growth.
- Badges: evidence that you are staying with the practice.
Included
The Weekly Mirror.
At the end of every week, Design Your Day reflects your seven days back to you: what you noticed, what connected, what you proved to yourself, and what to watch next week. It's the mirror that helps you see what you've been missing — before the pattern becomes the story.
Everything included
The Monthly Mirror & more.
At the end of every month, your membership reflects your month back to you: the patterns, the wins, the honest gaps, and how far you've come. Plus monthly notes from Coach Christine and the Coaching Insights library.
How you earn badges & medallions.
The workflow above is the practice. Badges and Medallions are the evidence that you're actually doing it.
The 5 C's — weekly character badges
Each week, your actions inside the daily workflow unlock the 5 C's of Success. Your badge practice window is Monday through Friday — weekends stay open for reflection but don't count. The standard is meaningful progress across those 5 practice days, not perfection:
- Clarity — complete 4 of 5 Morning Check-Ins this week.
- Commitment — complete at least 10 of 15 Musts this week.
- Consistency — complete 4 of 5 full days (morning + evening) this week.
- Courage — complete 4 of 5 Evening Reflections this week.
- Confidence — log gratitude on 4 of 5 days this week.
You don't chase the badges — you earn them by running the loop. They're proof of the identity you're building.
30-Day Medallions — closing the loop
Every 30 days is an Arc. Each weekly C you earn moves your Medallion ring closer to gold. Practice the 5 C's consistently across the arc — target 18 practices — and the ring closes.
A Medallion isn't a reward for a perfect month. It's proof that you stayed in the process long enough for real change to begin.
Another month. Another loop completed. Collect them all.
Tools that strengthen the feedback loop.
The daily workflow is the engine. These show you what it's producing.
Progress Tracker
Your 30 days at a glance. See the patterns your daily choices create.
Marble Jar
A focus tracker. Add a marble every time a distraction pulls you out of a focus block — phone, email, social, task-switching. Each marble ≈ 20 minutes of lost focused time (the average it takes your brain to fully re-engage). At the end of the week, the jar tells you the honest truth about where your time is actually going — and why "I don't have enough time" is often really "I lose it to distractions that don't serve me."
Coaching Conversations / Worksheets
Deeper work when you need to slow down — vision, identity, obstacles, weekly review. Use them when the daily workflow surfaces something worth sitting with.
Every decision either closes the gap or widens it. The Daily Feedback Loop helps you close it—one honest day at a time.
One decision. One day. One life.
Later never comes.
Your Monthly Mirror
A month reveals what a day cannot.
At the end of every month, Design Your Day reads your own days back to you — the patterns, the wins, the choices you made on purpose. Here's exactly when it arrives.
- 1
Your Mirror follows the calendar month
It opens the moment the month closes. Your September Mirror is waiting for you on October 1 — same day, every month, no matter when you joined.
- 2
It needs 18 check-in days in that month
The Mirror can only show you what you show it. Eighteen days is enough for real patterns to surface instead of one good week or one hard one.
- 3
Your first one is a First Look
If you joined partway through the month, your first Mirror runs from your first check-in to the end of that month, so it needs fewer days (about 60% of the days you had, at least 8). It's a glimpse rather than a full month — your first complete Mirror comes at the end of your first full month.
- 4
Miss the 18? Nothing is lost
There's no penalty and nothing expires. The new month is a fresh start, with a Mirror waiting at the end of it.
You can't change what you can't see.
