Fair and simple
Refund Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
We keep this simple: try Design Your Day for free, then decide. If it's not for you after you're charged, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee — no phone call, no guilt, no hoops.
1. Free trial
New subscribers may be offered a free trial. To start the trial, we ask for a valid payment method so your subscription can continue seamlessly if you decide to stay.
- Cancel during the trial and you won't be charged. Access ends when the trial period ends.
- Don't cancel and your subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial. Your card is charged for your first billing period, and your subscription renews from there.
2. 30-day money-back guarantee
If you're not satisfied with your paid subscription, you can request a full refund within 30 days of the charge. This applies to both monthly and annual plans, and to your first paid charge as well as renewal charges. To request a refund, email us — refunds are processed by Stripe, our payment provider.
After the 30-day window, you can still cancel anytime and keep full access through the end of your current billing period. The additional situations in section 4 (duplicate charges, technical failure, legal requirement) always apply, on any plan, regardless of the 30-day window.
Annual plans — extended proration option
In addition to the 30-day guarantee above, if you cancel an annual plan later in the term you can request a prorated refund based on our monthly price, not the discounted annual price. In plain English: you pay for the months you actually used at the regular monthly rate, and we refund the rest.
The formula. Refund = what you paid for the year − (months used × our regular monthly price). Any partial month counts as a full month.
Worked example. Say the annual plan is $118 and the monthly plan is $14.99. You paid $118 up front and cancel after 3 months of use.
- Months used at the monthly rate: 3 × $14.99 = $44.97
- Refund: $118 − $44.97 = $73.03 back to you
If the months you've used already cost more than what you paid for the year, there's nothing left to refund — but you keep access through the end of your billing period. Annual refunds are available for the first 11 months of the annual term; in the final month, no refund is issued because the term is nearly complete.
App store purchases (Apple / Google)
If you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, refunds are handled by the app store, not by us — that's their policy, not ours. Use reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple or your Google Play order history for Google. If you also have a valid claim under this policy (for example, an annual purchase you'd like prorated), email us — we'll do what we can, but final approval sits with the app store.
3. Cancel anytime
You can cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel:
- You keep full access through the end of your current paid billing period.
- You will not be charged again.
- Your entries remain in your account in case you decide to come back.
To cancel, use the "Manage subscription" link in your account, or email us at info@christinerandall.com and we'll take care of it.
4. Exceptions
In addition to the annual proration above, we will issue a refund in the following situations, on any plan:
- Duplicate or accidental charges: if you were charged twice for the same billing period, we'll refund the duplicate.
- Technical failure on our side: if a bug on our end prevented you from meaningfully using the App during a billing period, contact us and we'll make it right.
- Legal requirement: we will honor refund rights required by the law of your country or state (for example, statutory cooling-off periods for consumers in the UK/EU).
5. How to request a refund under an exception
Email info@christinerandall.com with:
- The email address on your account.
- The date of the charge.
- A short description of the issue.
We respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Stripe (our payment provider) and typically appear back on your card within 5–10 business days.
6. Chargebacks
Please reach out to us before disputing a charge with your bank. Nine times out of ten a quick email resolves the issue faster than a chargeback, and it keeps your account in good standing.
